Privacy Policy

Short version: what you type stays on your device.

By the 36Truths team · Last updated

What data does 36Truths collect?

None that identifies you. Names, statements and game progress you type are kept only in your own browser’s local storage, so your game is still there when you come back. They are never sent to a server. Clearing your browser data removes them.

How do share links work?

When you tap a share button, the game state (for example your names and current question, or your two truths and a lie) is encoded into the link itself, after the # sign. That part of a link is not sent to our server when someone opens it. Anyone you send the link to can decode and see what it contains, so don’t put anything private in a game you share.

Hosting, analytics and ads

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability. We don’t use tracking cookies today. If we add advertising (for example Google AdSense) or analytics later, we will update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
