160 original cards in four categories. Play on one phone, or share the deck with a link.
Pick a category (couples, friends, family or work), then each player taps Truth, Dare or Deep on their turn and answers the card. The deck has 160 original cards, shuffles itself, tracks whose turn it is and can be shared as a link so everyone plays the same deck.
How does this truth or dare deck work?
Every card is one of three types. Truths are honest-answer questions with a bit of mischief. Dares are short, harmless things to do on the spot. Deep questions are slower, more meaningful prompts for when the group wants real conversation. You can mix all three, or untick types in the settings to play only deep questions or only dares.
The four categories change the tone: couples (45 cards), friends (45), family (35, safe for mixed ages) and work icebreakers (35, safe for the office). Every question was written for 36Truths. You won’t find them copied from other lists.
What are the house rules?
- Anyone can pass on any card, with no explanation and no penalty.
- What’s shared in the game stays in the game.
- Dares never involve alcohol, danger, or posting anything online.
Frequently asked questions
How many questions are in the deck?
There are 160 original cards: 45 for couples, 45 for friends, 35 for family and 35 work icebreakers. Each card is a truth, a dare or a deep question.
How do you play truth or dare on one phone?
Add the players’ names, then each player taps Truth, Dare or Deep on their turn and answers the card shown. Tap Next card to move on. The turn label rotates through the names automatically.
Are the dares safe?
Yes. The dares are light and harmless: impressions, short songs, compliments and silly challenges. Nothing involves alcohol, risk or posting online. Any player can skip any card.
Can we play the same deck on two phones?
Yes. Tap Share this deck. The link carries the categories, the shuffle and the current card, so everyone who opens it sees the same deck in the same order.
Is there a version for work?
Yes. Choose the Work icebreakers category. Its dares are called challenges and are all safe for the office or a video call. See also our icebreaker questions for work.
